Gloria Carter is a signature member of the International Society of Experimental Artists. She studied fine art at the University of Alabama. Following her formal training, Gloria 's art career included work as a fashion artist, technical illustrator and commercial artist before devoting full time to fine art. Painting in mixed media, her current work centers on spontaneous shapes of color, letting them suggest the painting's direction. Gloria combines rich color, collage and metal leaf with impressionistic interpretation and contemporary abstract design. Form and texture are the dominant elements in her work. Gloria paints full time in her home studio, which she shares with her artist husband in a rural wooded section of Alabama just outside of Dothan, Alabama.
